The partypoker MILLIONS North America $10,300 High Roller has come to an end and David Eldridge has captured the title after a 10-hour day of poker. Eldridge defeated Victor Ramdin in a heads-up duel that ended rather suddenly. Eldridge will be happy to take home a cool $300,000 and the partypoker Live trophy, while Ramdin will be forced to settle for $180,000.

In the last hand of the night, the two players got all of their chips in the middle preflop with Ramdin being the player at risk. Eldridge held a commanding lead with {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} against Ramdin's {a-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}. The dealer fanned the flop of {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Eldridge flopped a set of tens, leaving Ramdin drawing to only a chop. The {7-Hearts} on the turn brought real chop possibilities, but the {j-Spades} on the river secured the win for Eldridge.

With the win, Eldridge moves his live career earnings to over $1,000,000 now. This marks his second largest cash to date, with best coming last year in Canada as well. Eldridge finished runner-up in the $5,000 WPT Main Event held in Niagara Falls for just over $300,000.

Just 26 players returned for Day 2 with Darren Elias leading the way. With a total of 11 places getting paid, it was a race to get to the money. Players started to drop quickly and the day ended early for the likes of Niall Farrell, Martin Jacobson, partypoker Sponsored Pro Kristen Bicknell, Anthony Zinno, and Mike Watson. Elias took a big hit to his stack when his kings were cracked by Blom's jacks. Shortly after, Elias busted just prior to the money bubble.

It would only be a few hands of hand-for-hand play on the money bubble when Gal Yifrach got the last of his chips in the middle against Hobbs. Yifrach held two overcards to Hobbs' pocket pair but was unable to connect with the board, bursting the money bubble in quick order. Marc MacDonnell, Louis Boutin, and Christopher Kruk would make their way to the payout desk in order to collect their min-cashes before the official final table was set.

Final Table Summary

When the official final table got underway, it was David Eldridge holding the chip lead and sitting comfortably ahead of the rest of the table. After Ami Alibay just flat-called in position with pocket queens, Chris Moorman shoved all in on the button holding {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}. When the action got back to Alibay, he made the call and held on for the win, leaving Moorman with around one big blind. Just a few hands later, Moorman would go on to be eliminated in eighth place. Although Alibay chipped up, he was still one of the shorter stacks at the table. Seven-handed play continued for nearly two hours before the next elimination would occur. It was Alibay who flopped a pair but when Eldridge rivered a set, Alibay was left with under five big blinds. He would go on to be eliminated just two hands later leaving six players remaining.

Parker Talbot might have provided the most entertainment on the final table, but his run came to an end earlier than he was hoping. His stack wound up in the middle with {a-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} but he ran into the {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} of Hobbs. Talbot was unable to connect with the board and was sent to the rail. Viktor Blom headlined the final table and was able to gradually move his way up the leaderboard. That was until he ran into the red-hot Eldridge. After a series of betting on the flop and turn, Blom shoved all in with pocket sevens on a board reading {q-Spades}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Hearts}. Eldridge eventually called with pocket jacks and Blom graciously left the final table in fifth place.

That left Eldridge with more than half of the chips in play heading to four-handed action. Known mostly for his online skills, Jon Van Fleet was poised to record his largest live tournament cash to date. He found himself sitting around 10 big blinds and defended a raise from Ramdin. Van Fleet flopped a pair and got it all in, only to run into the pocket kings of Ramdin. Van Fleet was unable to come from behind and that left the final three players to battle it out.

While Eldridge held the current chip lead, it was Ramdin who started to mount a charge. He turned a straight against the single pair of Kevin Hobbs, leaving the businessman with just 14 big blinds. In the last hand of the level, Hobbs got all of his chips in the middle with {a-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and was up against the {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} of Ramdin. The flop brought a pair of jacks for Ramdin and Hobbs bricked off the turn and river. That left Ramdin and Eldridge to battle it out heads-up with even chip stacks.

That wraps up the first event of the partypoker MILLIONS North America stop at the Playground Poker Club, but there is still plenty of action to be had over the next 10 days. The PokerNews live reporting team will continue to bring you all of the live updates from the tournament floor.
